There have been changes in the activities It may be necessary for you to hit refresh or reload to see the changes. Events for March and April March 6th Sat aft. Sleigh Rides at Mt. Charleston Meet is cancelled . March 7th, Oscar Party. Details to be announced at happy hour. Our friends Peggy, and Marie Austin from Boston have a time share on Las Vegas Blvd., near the South Point and have voiced interest in having a Oscar Party. March13th Sat night. Cosmic Bowling at Texas Station 5p.m . $2.50 a game. We usually play about 3 games We’ll get some pizza, hot dogs or dinner during or afterwards. March 17th St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations Fremont Street Experience 5:30 p.m. Meet in front of Fitzgerald’s at 3rd & Fremont in Downtown Las Vegas. We’ll have dinner and then cruise the street, passing out club cards to non-leprechauns. Wear the color of the day, unless you want to get pinched. Upcoming events include a fundraising garage sale (featuring Jim W’s electronic gizmos), a weekend trip to Death Valley/Scotty’s Castle and our return to Angel Park’s putting course! March 27th Geocaching Meet at 1:00 p.m. at The Black Mountain Grill11021 S. Eastern 89052 in Henderson. It is about a mile past Sunridge Heights. Steak and wood-fried pizza, all under $15.00 Geocachers bring a GPS and 3 printed out geocaches. Afterward we’ll eat at the Black Mountain Grill about 5 p.m. April 3rd Garage Sale at Jim Woodard’s House 7am – we’re sold out. Jim has graciously volunteered his house and some items for the garage sale to benefit the club’s charities. At the time of this writing, the date is tentative, as Jim has not yet been told he is volunteering. More on this later. April 10th Putt-Putt Golf ~1ish at Angel Park Cost $10.oo Afterwards, you know we’re going to have dinner somewhere. Jerry is your host on this one, I’ll let him call the shots. April 17th Hike/picnic at Corn Creek Meet in the parking lot of the Blue Ox for carpooling about 1:00pm. Bring picnic supplies. We’ll decide if we want to go potluck or each his own. There is a 1 mile hike and two picnic tables. It’s reportedly a nice animal viewing area. The hike has benches along the way. We can bring games, food and chill. See me for details. April 23, 24, and 25th Death Valley Details have not been worked out yet. A tour at Scottie’s Cabin is the primary reason, also wildflower viewing. See Marcy for details, but I’m thinking we better get our hotel reservations in early.
